- Pick up a book, magazine or video on yoga and spend ½ hour discovering something new about yoga;
- Take your time and do 3 Sun Salutations in slow motion;
- Do a 5-minute breathing exercise with even-part breath (inhalations and exhalations are evenly timed) before you leave for work in the morning;
- Try a 15 minute self-directed body scan, relaxing each area of your body when you bring it to your attention.
The New Year offers us a chance to align our actions with our deepest desires. For example, we may think that a lack of time prevents us from including yoga in our daily lives…in reality, it’s often the distraction of our emotions, negative thought patterns or prioritizing our time poorly that holds us back.
